We Are Horror Records is an independent record label based in Wolverhampton, UK, dedicated to championing horror-influenced music in all its dark, twisted forms. What began as a humble passion project has steadily grown into a recognised home for artists who live and breathe the macabre side of alternative music.

From horror punk and deathrock to anything that drips with gothic atmosphere or cinematic dread, the label exists to celebrate music that embraces the strange, the sinister, and the unapologetically spooky. We Are Horror Records was born out of a deep love for the scene and the community that surrounds it. The label’s roots trace back to the long-running horror punk radio show “Horrorpunk’s Not Dead!” on Moshville Radio and before. The show became a hub for fans and bands alike, shining a spotlight on artists from across the globe who were keeping the spirit of horror-fuelled punk alive. Over time, it became clear that simply playing the music wasn’t enough - the scene needed a platform dedicated to actively supporting and releasing it.

That realisation led to the creation of We Are Horror Records: a label built to give horror-inspired artists a place to grow, collaborate, and unleash their work into the world. The journey began with the release of the compilation “Horrorpunk’s Not Dead!”, a project that captured the raw energy and diversity of the genre while laying the foundation for everything that followed.

Since that first release, We Are Horror Records has continued to expand its catalogue, unleashing a steady stream of singles, EPs, and full-length albums from artists who share a love for horror aesthetics, rebellious energy, and uncompromising creativity. With each new release, the label continues to carve out its place within the underground, building a roster that reflects both the heritage of the genre and its evolving future.

As of April 2026, the label has shifted its focus towards homegrown talent - prioritising projects born and performing within the United Kingdom, while still welcoming international artists where the opportunity fits.
